Case Study
Wick Speculative Offices
Construction of two speculative office buildings
Project Duration: 8 months (from receipt of brief)
Completion date: May 2007
Overall Project Cost: £1.7m
Project Description
The building was clad in local Caithness stone and incorporated large areas of glazing. The brief required the offices to be built on two separate sites with all associated services and parking facilities, plus incorporated rainwater harvesting and a micro-renewables package.
The project started with the client’s pre-existing design which had to be adapted to meet current building regulations. This process, plus obtaining the necessary consents was completed, along with the construction, within the overall 8 month period.
