Project Description:
Synergie was commissioned by ANM to review an existing wind power proposal - for the Thainstone Centre near Inverurie - within the context of the Group’s wider property and land portfolio. Initial work focused on assessing the opportunities and constraints at two further potential development sites in Easter Ross and Caithness. Synergie work concluded that the Caithness site presented the most attractive development option in terms of both the available resource and likely planning constraints.

Further work has been commissioned to carry out detailed physical site investigations and a wind resource assessment at the Caithness site, prior to the preparation and submission of a planning application for installation of a medium sized (0.7-1MW) wind turbine.
