Case Study

Pulteneytown Peoples Project

Community Building, Wick

Project Duration: 10 months (to date)
Completion date: May 2009 (current phase)
Overall Project Cost: £4 million

Project Description:

The first phase was to take the initial feasibility design and develop it to construction stage tender documentation, including achieving planning and building warrant consent. This also included initial cost review and associated documentation required for funding applications. Synergie has led the design team using local consultants sourced for the specific project whilst managing the process and providing cost management and CDM co-ordination. The plot is a brown field site with contamination surveys required and negotiation of services relocation with neighbouring land owners. The building includes natural ventilation systems and a biomass heating design. Consents have been achieved and the project now awaits the final funding to be approved before Synergie will run the tender process and then Project Manage the construction, again using our in-house cost management for invoicing, reporting to funders and providing final accounts.
