Highland & Island Resource Efficiency Project (HIREP)

HIREP aims to assist businesses located in the region to realise the bottom line benefits of improved environmental management and sustainability. The project is currently managed by Synergie Scotland Ltd and aims to deliver this aim through three key approaches:-
· Providing free consultancy advice directly to businesses based in the region;
· Promoting other existing business resource efficiency initiatives offering free consultancy advice;
· Developing and implementing an on-going events program.
HIREP is governed by a representative cross-sector Working Group, including representatives from the local business and enterprise community, and various public sector organisations. This ensures that the project is inclusive, consultative and responsive to local business needs.
