Worldwide attention as Scotland’s green isle slashes carbon footprint

Commenting on the Press & Journal article, published on 21st July 2009, Ian MacGillivray, Managing Director of Synergie Scotland Ltd, who were the Project Managers said, “We would like to congratulate the community on the Isle of Eigg on their achievement in being the only Scottish finalist in the £1m nationwide Big Green Challenge. It has been rewarding to be involved in such a unique and technically challenging project and we are delighted that it has been such a success and the people of Eigg can now look forward to deriving an enormous community benefit in the coming years.”

Advance Facility in Dunoon a first for Scotland & UK

Synergie was engaged by HIE through their Framework contract to deliver an advance office unit at Sandbank Business Park in Dunoon. Argyll Telecom became interested in utilising this building for their new facility after construction started. Although significant changes were required to the building, Synergie managed the process through an already demanding programme to deliver a bespoke unit that has helped create job opportunities within the area. The team for this project was based at Synergie’s Head Office in Inverness, but through regular site visits, good communication and a strong adherence to the NEC contract processes, Synergie successfully managed the significant risks faced with, such as major changes and tight deadlines.
