Synergie continue expansion in Aberdeen
Uisdean Fraser, Director for the Environ division of Synergie Scotland said “We are delighted that Guy Robertson has joined our company, as his unique breadth of technical background, supported by a wealth of experience working in strategic, corporate and advisory roles in both the public and private sectors will be key to developing our environmental services in Aberdeen. The Environ division has continued to develop rapidly in the fields of energy management, automated remote metering and building energy performance and management and with experienced staff throughout the country we can ensure our commitment to a first class service for our clients.”
Synergie Environ is developing a number of innovative new services under the banner of Intelligent Energy & Resource Management (IERM). Recent developments in this area saw the company being short-listed for the finals of the Shell Springboard Awards in February this year, and an increase of over 75% of visitors to the Synergie stand at this year’s All Energy event in Aberdeen. At All Energy, delegates were provided with a live demonstration of the new Synergie Utility Management Software (SUMS), which monitors customers’ live energy data then analyses and presents it to them via a web link accessible from any point in the world. This real time monitoring and interpretation is the cornerstone of Synergies’ emerging IERM package. Guy added “we are actively developing this technology in-house such that it’s effectively integrated with models which map renewable energy potential, providing a very powerful tool for optimising energy efficiency and renewable energy capture. We are also keen to develop client-led solutions that use SMART metering to incorporate other utilities, such as water and wastewater, as these too can provide major potential for efficiency improvements.”
Synergie are also offering a new, BRE-approved Energy Performance Certification (EPC) service for buildings, to allow customers to meet their obligations under the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. All of these approaches enable a critical review of energy and resource management to be undertaken, identifying areas of excessive or wasteful resource use and leading to a package of measures to reduce carbon emissions and operational costs.
Also in March this year the company qualified as BRE Self Assessors of Section 6 of the Building (Scotland) Act, allowing them to become Authorised Certifiers of Design and able to carry out Energy Performance Certification (EPC) of non-domestic buildings.
