David Russell, Synergie Projects Director said; “The end result is a high quality and sustainable project, delivered within the revised timescales and below budget. With a Scottish timber frame structure and the ground source heating supplied by an Ullapool sub-contractor we are very pleased with the results that help demonstrate HIE’s commitment to sustainability in both the construction and community sense”.
Managing Director, Tom Morton, for Argyll, said: “This ARC was a drawing in July 2008. I am extremely proud of this facility and full of admiration of the significant effort shown by all those team members from HIE, ROK, the Local Authority, professional advisors (Synergie Scotland Ltd), contractors and particularly our own managers and staff that have co-ordinated and overcome obstacles to deliver a superb facility that meets the current and foreseeable future business and industry requirements.”
The project cost was ‘in excess of £1.5m’ with financial support being provided by HIE.
