Pods on their way to the Fair Isle
Bad weather forces pods to be transported by smaller vessel
Using the smaller vessel means that only three or four pods can be transported at a time and at 1am on 3rd September 2009 the first three arrived on site and were in place by lunchtime. The timescale of the remaining pods being delivered are very much dependant on the weather but if you click on the following link, which takes you directly to the Fairisle Bird Observatory website, you can monitor the progress of project.
